Sanyapak's long sleeve shirt

We would like to thank Lanie for the long sleeve shirt that she gave us. We will wear this to our next adventure.

The team designed and printed their logo and proud name at it. There are two things this shirt has, first is that it has a shoulder and elbow pad for protection and second is it look good on us.

Summary of our 5 day adventure

Mt. Maculot
  • > If planning to climb this at Holy week, better do it on Holy Wednesday. Holy Thursday can be crowded as in not only the mountaineers are there but also the locals of Batangas and some tourists. Well, if you like more people to chat with, it's up to you. Just be sure you have a place to put up your tent.
  • > Climbing the Mt. Maculot at Holy week invites more people and some locals to sell something from fresh buko (coconut) juice to halo-halo. The bad part of it is the trash of the people climbing it. So be sure not to left any of your candy wrapper or any snack at the mountain. Please be responsible.
  • > There's a water source at the camp site that can be used for bathing and washing your dishes and things.
  • > For us, seeing the sunrise at the rockies is the best. Be sure to wake up as early as the sun rise.

Mount Mag-asawang Bato

Here's the third and last (but not the least) part of our Holy week adventure...

Above: Mount Mag-asawang Bato of Tingloy Island
As our story continues, we decided to climb the Mount Mag-asawang Bato since we we're on the vicinity. We return to the jump off where we got off from the tricycle. We ask some locals there where or how to go to the peak of the mountain. They're very helpful to us especially the not so old lady (around 40-50 years of age) that we ask for the direction when we saw a wall that blocks our way to it. She told us that we have to go around the wall at the tree (mango tree i think) where a cow was tied unto it. We thank the lady and followed her directions. As we hike along the dried soil of the mountain we noticed some part of it where used to make coles. Some part of the mountain are used to shepherd their cows. You can also see some huge rocks along the ridge of the mountains that seems like it had been cemented there.

Tingloy Island

This is our continuation of our adventure on Holy week....

As we ride the boat named Galaxy to Pulang Bule of Santo Tomas, Tingloy, Batangas we had to sit at the roof of the boot since our companions came late. The children sits inside because they will not bear the heat of the sun at almost noon.

As the boat moves slowly the waves are getting stronger, splasing the sides of our boat with it's waves. Che, Chin (Jimi's wife) and Karen joined us (Jimi, Niel, Enan, Egay, Tonio) at the roof. We all share the heat of the sun, scorching our skin.Only Jimi is on the fry since his head is newly shaved, hehe.

Mount Maculot and Tingloy Island

We've planned and prepared our selves for almost a month. We set our ideas on our goal on Holy Week and guess what guys, we conquered not just one mountain but two. Not only that, we learn and earn more experience and see things in a different perspective.

Here's our adventure & exploration itinerary:
